Most items we deal with have price sensitive information, with clients not keen to openly publicise what they do as you can imagine, but one story, I can outline openly here.

One client came to us for speed bumps! A simple enough product, to complement existing business, but as with everything, there is far more to it than meets the eye. We gained outline specification, volumes, and a target price of £15 per metre, with some level of price greyness involved.

We looked into the market, and found the UK costs were more towards £22.05 per half metre, (£44.10 per full metre) with the ends £49.50 per pair. Poland was similar in cost, but two far eastern suppliers came in at £16.38 & £25.30 per metre, with the ends £6.76 and £11.70. We presented images, build considerations and our recommendations.

The net figures we worked out for a 4.0m finished hump was £72.28 / £112.90 as compared to £225.90 with his present supplier. The stage we got to was to get samples shipped over, and check that quality was as we expected. Currently we are shipping samples over so that their quality can be checked.
